Summit Logistics Services, Inc. was founded in May of 2000 and is headquartered in Knoxville, TN.

The principals are Scott Batey, President & CEO, and Bill Hatfield, Vice-President & CFO. Scott and Bill represent a combined 30 plus years in transportation operations and accounting and finance respectively.

The company operates exclusively as a third-party provider of dedicated contract carriage and logistics services to manufacturers in North America. Summit currently operates over 160 dedicated vehicles in 13 fleet locations across the country. In addition to dedicated operations, Summit operates another 150 vehicles in intermodal operations through its wholly owned subsidiary, BP Express, Inc. BP Express was acquired by Summit in April of 2006.
